This forest is famous for the bluebells in spring but it is equally wonderful in all other seasons. Many trails for hiking, jogging, mountainbiking, horseriding.

If you are coming to visit Brussels during spring, you should visit the Hallebos which is a magnificent natural carpet of blue flowers. This magical phenomenon only happens one or two weeks per year. Only accessible by car or train from Brussels.

The forest is known in the region for its bluebell carpet which covers the forest floor for a few weeks each spring.

If you are looking for a bowl of fresh air and a nice walk in the woods, check the Hallerbos, about 15 min by drive. It is incredible in the springtime with its flower carpets under the trees!
