You will receive a warm Highland welcome and will gain insight into the daily routines of crofting and the life of our sheep and how we produce ethical wool. We will then enter my workshop where you will gain a brief history of fleece preparation, hand spinning, the reasons and history behind our uniquely hand knitted designs including our famous bespoke fisherman’s Gansey. You will have an opportunity to see our products and understand about Croft sustainability here on the Isle of Skye. A humerous story telling experience for everyone. Other things to note: Bring waterproof clothing as the weather can change quickly. The experience is not suitable for small children. As we are a working Croft, and not a petting farm, we cannot guarantee you will be able to touch any of the animals.

After the traditional gaelic introduction the rest of the ceremony will be in english and I will join your hands together and you will repeat the old vows of binding from long ago. You will be offered the chance to recite your own vows after this if you wish. We'll discover the streets and secret alleyways of the Old Town area of Edinburgh, starting at Edinburgh Castle, then we'll wander down to "Diagon Alley" and find the gravestones of "Voldemort" and some other well known names in the Harry Potter series. We'll also spot "Hogwarts School" of Wizardry and find where the writer found her inspiration from. Learn about the famous and not so famous cafes where J.K. Rowling began her writing career and finished in the realms of luxury. The tour will last approximately 1 hour. However, please allow for an additional 20 minutes if tour runs over depending on group size, photo opportunities and question time. Let us start by saying the whisky is optional, drink alternatives are available and the cost of the whisky is not included in the £15.50. We do this to make the event as inclusive as possible for drinker, non drinker, whisky lovers and whisky sceptics alike. The whisky or drink alternatives can be added-on on the day. We meet just off the iconic Royal Mile inside a café/bar called Hot Toddy. We have the entire downstairs area reserved for us, ensuring lots of space for the group. During the course of two hours we will sample four outstanding Single Malt Scotch Whiskies from the four major whisky producing regions of Scotland. We will discus some of the history of Scotland and explore the reasons as to why whisky is now so ingrained as a staple of Scottish culture and we have some great tales from Scotland and the world of whisky to share with you. Other things to note This tour departs promptly and we can not wait for guests who are late. Feel free to turn up at Hot Toddy earlier to enjoy some food or drink before the event starts. Our Woodland Craft and Foraging Adventure will take you on a journey of education, connection and access; to the better observer of how you walk through the world. We will take you walking amongst the hidden gems of Rydal, one of the most beautiful parts of The Central Lake District. The walk will be 2 miles of nature identification and admiration through the eyes of a scholar. You will see waterfalls and plunge pools, lakes, mountains, streams and beautiful trees, plants and wildlife. We will then set up a bushcraft camp with a view. You will learn how to light a fire to cook on, some survival skills and making your own kit and craft. I will teach you how to cook a delicious lunch from the things that nature provides that will fill your belly and feed your soul. Connection begets connection and feeling your full participation with Mother Earth will open you up to bonding with the group and experience as a whole. Friends and memories will be made that you will treasure, always.

You will see Glasgow up close and also visit tranquil locations where you can see spectacular views of the city, not possible by bus or car. We will take in the old and new of Glasgow's Clyde-side; pedal through Kelvingrove Park and the very Victorian West End, with it's fantastic sandstone tenements, villas and Glasgow University. Explore the botanic gardens, the river Kelvin; and take the Forth & Clyde Canal back into the city, where Glasgow Cathedral and imposing Necropolis await. Finally swinging by the People's Palace and the "Big Yin", you will have completed your introduction to Glasgow. Other things to note You only need to ride a bike to enjoy the tour, you don't need to be an athlete, as the route is generally flat with lots of stops. Scottish gin and cheeses takes you on a fun journey around Scottish gin styles. We give you an understanding of how gin is made, how to pair with great mixers and discuss how to garnish your drinks. At Belfast City Hall you will be provided with an audio headset and receiver so you don’t miss a word. You’ll visit the City Hall before walking to the Peace Walls, approximately 90 minutes. You’ll receive a full, detailed and objective commentary to provide you with the historical and political background to ‘the Troubles’ but the tour is not in chronological order, it relates to places it passes. Please note that a good to fluent command of English is required. Stopping at the International Wall, you’ll get a chance to view the political murals before you visit the Walls. There is ample time for photographs. You’ll return to Belfast City Centre, where you visit the Cathedral Quarter. You’ll meander in and out of historic entries, see the sights and see what’s hidden in plain sight. You’ll learn about our radical history, and the culture and art that makes Belfast such a vibrant and exciting city. You'll take in the City Centre & Albert Clock before the tour finishes in a historic church. You walk inside, you walk back to the late 1700s to a time of revolution and radicalism. Belfast is a city of contrasts, and the tour is designed to reflect that. Expect to be entertained, engaged and informed. The pace of this tour is moderate. You will walk approximately 3.5 miles in 2.5 to 3 hours. We sometimes have 4 seasons in one day, so dress appropriately.

We'll embark upon a journey whereby we get you to a mystical place, where we'll delve deep into forrest, enjoying the song of the birds and the gushing sound of the gorge underneath us, walk along the gorge, looking down at the amazing waterfalls and taking pictures of it. Then we will get to an ancient "staircase", where we need to climb down, using the ropes alongside the "stairs" and once we get to the bottom, we'll gaze upon an amazing gorge between the rocks covered with moss, crystal clear water, cold as ice, but a place looking like a haunted scenery out a fairy tale. This is Finnich Glen, that locals thought of being a place of the devils, an isolated and remote looking area, that gives you the chills and excitement in the same time. No wonder this place has been used as a scenery for the Outlander movie. For those brave ones, who want to get further into the glen, you can roll up your pants and get into the water (warning: extremely cold) and walk along and see an amazingly mesmerising world in front of you. Other things to note A good head for heights is necessary as it involves climbing down some slippery stairs, holding onto some ropes and rocks

We will take a little roadtrip through the landscapes of Glencoe and Glen Etive to the best spots for photos which means you will get to do some sightseeing too and go to some spots others can't find! I will have my car and you will follow me in your own transport to the beauty spots for photos. The whole experience will be roughly 3 hours depending on where we go. I will give you some guidance on poses but generally I love to keep it as natural as possible. It's just a small documentary of your trip to the highlands! Included in the price is an online gallery with your edited photos that are downloadable for use and shareable on social media. I will send this via email in roughly 2/3 weeks. Other things to note It's nice to wear something that compliments the environment you are in. Please don't hesitate to dress up if you want, if you need any hints or tips please message me! The weather is very changeable in the mountains but I do go out in all months, seasons and weathers. My top tips are wear sensible shoes, bring layers and in summer something for the midges if you need it.
